A detailed pencil-sketch of an eagle appears at the top left quarter of the page. Its talons stretch out and downward, as though ready to grasp something below. The lower half of the paper contains these hand-written words:
This lovingly-made document is addressed to no one, but is signed, "Joe."
Oh my word! Can you imagine all the possible stories behind this?
There's nothing like the written word. Spoken sentiments are splendid, too, but to write is to capture a moment permanently, so that the reader never forgets the exact words said. I'm so excited for you Lainey's Bridge enthusiasts to soon have access to Jarred's unspoken thoughts about Lainey and other aspects of his life. Whether or not you've read the Lainey's Bridge series, I think you will enjoy What I Wish I Could Tell You, my new novelette, a story within a story--from a teenage guy's point of view. Best of all, it will be available to you free of charge! Yep, you read that right!
Be sure to be following me on social media so you'll know when/how to receive your free copy of What I Wish I Could Tell You!
